GPKism

GPKism (typeset as GPKISM) is a gothic/industrial unit formed in 2007. It was originally the solo project of GPK (Gothique Prince Ken), while Kiwamu (of Blood) joined later that year. Both GPK and Kiwamu compose music for this project. They have been featured in several publications including Cure Magazine and they have toured in Australia, Japan, the United States, Europe and Central America.

History

GPKism was formed in January 2007 as the solo project of Australian musician GPK, and in September, guitarist Kiwamu of the Japanese goth band Blood joined the project, which was announced on the Internet Radio Show Tainted Reality. In January 2008, the same month that they released their first EP Sublimis, they were featured in Cure Magazine.

The band played their first live show on April 13, 2008 in Japan. In June they went on to play three shows in Australia, that were accompanied by in-store events.

Their first single, "Illuminatum," was released in September, 2008. This was followed a month later by their "Lament of the Fallen Star Tour" which included shows in Japan, Mexico, Costa Rica and in the United States at Nekocon. In December of that year, they played two live shows, opening for Suicide Ali. GPKism returned to Mexico and the United States to accompany Blood on their final tour.

GPKism's first full-length album, Atheos, was released on March 4, 2009 with the concept "Lament of a Fallen Angel". This was followed in March and April by a multi-city tour of Japan and Australia; their Australian tour also had Aural Vampire and DJ SiSeN performing. GPKism also toured Europe for the first time for their "Holy Blood" tour which included dates in Germany, Austria, Italy & Poland in May 2009.

On July 12 GPKism contributed a cover of RINK for the Blam Honey album Providence of Decadence and also performed alongside them at the Live Inn Rosa, Kiwamu and ex-BLOOD keyboardist RYO also helped arrange several tracks on the album.

The band released their EP Barathrum in August and a released a PV for it, gaining over 10,000 hits on Youtube under a month. This was the first release using the theme Countess Elizabeth Bathory. In September they toured South America and several of the Conventions there. After returning they released the EP 'Iudicium' under the same theme.

In 2010 GPKism returned to the United States on tour with Seileen.

In late 2011 GPK went onto form his own solo project Gothique Prince Ken while Kiwamu resumed activities with Blood

Kanon Wakeshima

Kanon Wakeshima (分島 花音 Wakeshima Kanon, born June 28, 1988) is a Japanese singer and cellist. Produced by musician and fashion designer Mana, Wakeshima debuted under the DefStar Records label on May 28, 2008 with the single "Still Doll", the ending theme for the anime adaptation of the manga series Vampire Knight. She also provided the voice for a maid that appears in the eighth episode of the series. Wakeshima's second single "Suna no Oshiro", released on November 12, 2008, was used as the ending theme for the series' second season (subtitled Guilty).

She was nominated for a Best Newcomer award for 2008 in the fourth annual Shōjo Beat Music Awards, nominees of which are determined by surveying "record companies, music journalists, music experts, and music fans".

Biography

Before her birth, Wakeshima's music-loving parents wished that she would be a musician. At the age of three, she began learning cello, marking her entry into the world of music. In junior high school she formed her own ensemble group. At the age of fifteen, she transited from her former classical ensembles into playing in the baroque section. Appearing in a variety of recitals and concerts throughout her school years, she began writing her own music and combining singing with her cello playing at the age of sixteen. As she transited from junior high school to high school, she began writing her own music and singing. She gave her first vocal performances during a high school festival.

Wakeshima auditioned at Sony Music Entertainment as a singer, originally not intending to include her cello playing with her demo tape, but later changed her mind after experimenting with performing with the piano. She became a finalist at the audition, contracting with the Sony subsidiaryDefStar Records and debuting on May 28, 2008 with her first single, "Still Doll. The single was chosen as the ending theme for the first season of the anime adaptation of Vampire Knight.

She uses cellos, one for performing, one for music videos and one for recording. Wakeshima has given each cello a name. The white cello is known as "Mikazuki-san", which means "crescent moon" and this is the cello she normally uses during live performances. The red cello is known as "Nanachie-san", which means "wisdom" used in most music videos. According to Wakeshima, Nanachie-san is very hard to play but she manages. Her third cello is a brown cello called "Yaeharu-san", which means "multi-layered spring". Yaeharu-san is very special to Wakeshima as she has had it since middle school, and it is the one she practices on and records with. Currently, she has a new silver cello named "Momotose."

She has recently formed a duo with An Cafe's bassist Kanon, called Kanon×Kanon. The duo sang the second theme song for the anime adaptation of Shiki, called "Calendula Requiem".

Kanon×Kanon recently made a song "Koi no Doutei" in their newest single, which was later made the OP (opening song) for the new anime "30-sai no Hoken Taiiku" that came out the spring of 2011.

Overseas Performances

Kanon has done numerous performances overseas, including being invited to Japan Expo 2009 in Paris, France and Otakon 2009 in Baltimore, MD. Kanon has also done short concerts in San Francisco and Los Angeles. She was also invited to AM 2011, an anime convention in Anaheim, where she had both, a solo and a KanonXKanon concert. Following AM2 Kanon also appeared at Hyper Japan 2011 in London in July and in Ani-Com and Games Hong Kong 2011.

Kanon is also scheduled to perform in various cities in Europe at the end of 2011 as Kanon×Kanon

1.     Putus Karena Mau Fokus Ujian

2.     Jadian Sama yang Pinter

Abis drama putus karena ujian tadi, bagi yang males belajar akan nyari pacar yang pinter. Bisa dijadiin bantuan buat belajar atau paling mentok jadi mesin kunci jawaban.

 

3.     Belajar Sistem Kebut Semalam

Beberapa anak saking males belajarnya, sering banget nunda belajar sampe beberapa jam menjelang ujian, baru deh pada kalap (berusaha) belajar.

 

4.     Ke Dukun Minta Jampi-Jampi

Demi melancarkan ujian, nggak jarang juga ada yang datengin dukun biar dikasih jampi-jampi atau pensil yang udah ‘diisi’ biar bisa gerak sendiri. Kadang ada yang curcol juga sekalian minta jampi biar dapet jodoh.

1. Kalongwewe

Dulu waktu aku masih kecil, aku nggak boleh main kalo udah lepas Maghrib. Kata Mama, “Kalo maghrib jangan main, ntar diculik Kalongwewe.” Apa itu kalongwewe? Kalongwewe itu setan cewek, rambutnya panjang, badannya gede, yang paling fenomenal sih, emm..maaf ya, payudaranya yang turun sampe puser (buset!). Dia itu hobinya nyulik anak kecil yang masih main walaupun udah maghrib. Sekarang Kalongwewe nggak populer, mungkin takut dicekal karena UU Pornografi udah berlaku.

2. Kolor Ijo

Sebenernya ini bukan setan tapi manusia biasa yang punya ilmu hitam. Sempet heboh taun 2003-an. Motifnya pengen berhubungan sama korban dengan cara nyamar jadi suami si korban. Kenapa disebut kolor ijo? Ya karena dia pake jimat berbentuk kolor yang warnanya ijo. Sekarang kolor ijo udah nggak populer karena kolor udah kalah saing sama boxer dan skinny jeans.

3. Jenglot

Heboh sekitar taun ‘90 akhir. Bentuknya kecil (15-20 cm), gondrong, giginya caling. Makanan pokok jenglot itu darah segar. Malah gosipnya golongan darah O yang diincer. Ya iyalah, namanya aja jenglot. Kalo jenglat beda lagi golongan darahnya. Sekarang jenglot udah nggak populer karena model rambut gondrong udah nggak trendy. Lagian kan sekarang jamannya rambut dicat pirang dan berponi lempar a la boyband Korea.

4. Tuyul

Dari jaman Trio Libels, Trio Kwek Kwek, sampe Trio Macan, tuyul masih eksis. Beneran, deh! Dia tuh bukannya udah nggak populer, tapi menarik diri dari gemerlapnya dunia makhluk halus. Dia stres dan malu karena sering disudutkan oleh pemberitaan-pemberitaan yang bilang kalo dia tuh suka nyolong duit. Padahal…ya nggak tau juga sih yang bener yang mana. Masalahnya dia nggak pernah dikasih kesempatan untuk klarifikasi di media.

Tempat yang Dikambinghitamkan Jadi Angker

Di sekolah atau lingkungan rumah biasanya sering ada tempat yang dianggap angker. Padahal belum tentu di dalam situ ada makhluk mistis yang menghuni, lebih karena tempat ini emang diindentikkan sama sesuatu yagn berbau mistis. Ini tempat-tempat yang menurut NYUNYU sering dikambinghitamkan jadi angker:

1.     Toilet

Entah kenapa toilet sering diidentikkan sama tempat angker. Kalo emang bener, mungkin setan yang nongkrong di situ ususnya pendek jadi gampang pengen pipis atau pup.

 

2.     Rumah Sakit

Rumah sakit, khususnya di lorong-lorong dan ruang kosong sering disebut-sebut angker, ada setannya, dan sebagainya. Tapi kalo emang bener, setannya juga berarti bisa sakit, atau lagi musim penyakit di dunia setan.

 

3.     Rumah Kosong

Saking seremnya rumah kosong, di suatu lingkungan yang ada rumah kosongnya pasti akan jarang ada orang yang lewat kecuali yang nggak tau.

 

4.     Hati yang Kosong

Kalo yang kosong itu sering diidentikkan sama angker, berarti hati jomblo adalah tempat yang paling angker dalam diri manusia, karena kosong melompong. Jadi, jangan biarin hati kamu kosong, ya. Kwukwuk!

Bahagia

Kamu nggak akan merasakan penyakit-penyakit asmara.

Misalnya Rindu. Mau rindu sama siapa? Cemburu… mau cemburuin siapa? Galau… mau ngegalauin siapa?

Berprestasi

Coba deh perhatiin temen-temen di sekeliling kamu. Orang yang sibuk pacaran biasanya belajarnya nggak bener. Beda sama yang nggak sibuk pacaran. Walaupun nggak bener-bener banget, setidaknya lebih agak bener dari yang tadi kita bilang agak nggak bener.
